I built a titan x 1.2 today but whenever I turn it on to install the OS it throws a “cpu fan error.”  What can I do to fix this?

I assume you are using the pump the distro plate came with. What header did you plug the pump connector into? Try other headers such as SYS_fan , CHA_fan , or if your motherboard has it, I recommend plugging it into a pump or AIO header. Sometimes plugging a pump into the CPU_Fan header doesn't work and shows that error. Try these other headers and see what works for you. If they do, you can adjust the pump speeds in the BIO's fan control to your liking, but if you have a pump/AIO header it'll probably run it the pump at full speed and you can't change the speed with that header.
