Hello,

My hot spot temperature is abysmal (~52C delta from GPU Temp). I've reinstalled the waterblock 3x and added more TIM but only managed to drop hot spot from 110C to 96.4C. Apparently, I am unable to get good contact between GPU die & cold plate.

The hot spot temps are considerably worse than the stock cooler. I suspect the reason is that the stock backplate applies pressure behind the GPU die with a thermal pad, whereas. the Bitspower waterblock does not. Some 4090 waterblocks in the Bitspower store (e.g., MSI 4090 Gaming) include an "improved backplate." Is there an "improved backplate" available for the HOF version of the Nebula waterblock? Otherwise, what do you recommend I do to reduce the hot spot temperatures? Please advise.

Dear Customer,

Sorry for the late reply because of our Lunar New Year holiday.
Please check the installation guide for the BP-VG4090GXH water block.
This water block has come with an improved backplate as MSI 4090 Gaming.
It has to use the Original bracket(Not included) on the backside.
If you are still confused, please send an email to us, and we will show you with picture.
