I have been using the MSI Geforce RTX 3080 Gaming Trio series GPU water block (BP-VG3080MT) for over a year. Lately I notice quite a lot of gunk forming on the fins is there anyway I can open up the water block to do a deep cleanse?

Dear Customer,

Thank you for contacting Bitspower.

The water block comes with a one-year warranty.
Since it has been in use for over a year, the warranty has expired.
You can open the water block for a deep clean.
Just ensure there are no leaks after reassembling it.
If you want to exchange the O-rings, you can buy them from us.
Here is our email address.

You can use a soft brush or compressed air to remove loose dust and gunk from the fins. For stubborn residue, you can use a small amount of distilled water or isopropyl alcohol on a cloth, but avoid soaking the block.

Yes, you can open the MSI GeForce RTX 3080 Gaming Trio BP-VG3080MT water block for deep cleaning, but do it carefully. Drain your loop completely, remove the block from the GPU, and unscrew the top plate evenly in a cross pattern to avoid warping. Once opened, gently clean the fins and channels using a soft brush and warm distilled water or mild vinegar solution, then rinse thoroughly with distilled water and let all parts dry fully before reassembling.
